Among those disney princesses we discussed in class, I think Tiana is the most positive role model for girls because of clear dream and hard-working.
First, she had clear hope and dream. Tiana's dream was to have her own restaurant. But other princesses didn't have their dreams and they were passive. Especially, the life of cinderella was really pasive. She was not like Tiana. She just worked what her stepmother said to do. She didn't have any dreams of her future and followed directions. She also just relied on magic, prince and not tried to change her life by herself. Some princesses had their dreams but it was not clear, like Rapunzel. Rapunzel always wanted to go out from the tower, where she lived. However, she didn't have specific plan of what she is going to do while the time she goes out. Compared to other princesses, Tiana had much more specific and clear dreams and hopes, which can be the reason why she is the most positive role models for girls.
Second, She worked hard to acheive her dream. She was leading her life by herself. She knew her dream well and she was working at the restaurant for her career and money that she have to pay for having her own restaurant. She did't rely on other people to achieve her dream, which also means that she is independent. I like her characteristic, being independent.
Because of those 2 reasons, specific dreams and hard-working, I believe that the Tiana is the most positive role model for girls. It was really fun to compare Tiana with other Disney princesses.
Thank you.

Response essay -Brave
I watched the animation movie, Brave. It was about a princess, Merida having adventure to change her mom back to a Queen. She was a princess and her mom forced her to behave politely. But Merida don't want to follow her mother. She don't want to marry and she don't want to behave politely. She is adventurous and active. As she behaved what she want, the situation became worse. But I can understand her mind to be free.
I think that princess don't have to be that calm. It can be a stereotype. Personality differs from person to person which means that some princesses couldn't be that calm. I think her mother should respect her personality and would have different ways to teach her. Sometimes, her personality can help her deal with work. Also it her mother respect her personality, she will not be aggressive.
It is also really hard to suppress our own personality. Everyone wants to be free and be out of his or her boring life. Princess has her own feeling. Even if princess has to be calm, I can understand Merida's feelings.
It was impressive to see the Merida and her mother changed. Merida was different from other disney princesses!

Age doesn't matter
I watched Adora Svitak's video(TED) in a writing class. It was about the things that adults can learn from children. She said that there were many things that children learn from adults. She also said that there were many things that adults can learn from children like creativity and positiveness.
After watching this video, I think that age doesn't matter on things that you can do. Adults sometimes underestimate children by saying childish or ignoring because they are young. Sometimes, it is really annoying to hear and some children have more ability than adults. I hope that our society will be better by respecting everyone's opinion, especially the both opinions of children and adults.
Also, I think childish is not a bad word. Using the word, "Childish" in a bad way is underestimating children and discriminating. I believe that the word, "Childish" is full of hope and creativity.

Starting the blog...
Hi! I'm the one who starts the blog now. I'd like to introduce myself.
To introduce me, I'm in GLPS(Global Leadership Program for Students) and participating in writing class. Due to the class, I'll post some writings that I wrote in my class.
I'm 5th grade. I met lots of new friends(classmates, and roommates) in here and I think that they are really hilarious! I enjoy spending times with my friends and chat with them.
Also, I'm satisfied with this camp, especially classes in here. Writing, History, Debate, and Math...
Among those, I like math the most. It is really fun to solve some puzzles in Math class.
I'm very excited to use this blog!
I hope I'll enjoy blogging!

30 day challenges
Hi, everyone. My name is Ally(Lee Seung Yoon), and I'm here to write. Today, I saw the TED video "30-days challenges". It was about Matt Cutts having challenges in 30 days. His goals to achieve in 30 days were interesting. They were not eating sugar, not eating caffeine, riding a bike to work, walking 10,000 steps a day, and so on.
After watching this video, I found out some habits I want to add and habits I want to subtract during GLPS. This camp takes almost 30 days in which I can have some challenges like Matt Cutts. Some habits I want to add are having self-lead study, writing on blog more often, and writing a diary everyday. Also the habits that I want to subtract are eating sweets, watching TV, playing games, and sleeping late.
Among those five habits , two habits that I want to change are doing self-study and not playing games.
First, to reach my goal, to do self-study, I'll make some plans everyday before starting the study. Then, I'll just focus on studying while there is a time to study. Finally, I'll try it everyday and make it my habit.
My second goal is not to play games. I sometimes play games at my home, but I think It is not good to play games. During this camp, I will not play games and make it my habit. First, I'll not use my phone that much. Second, I'll not use game programs.
Thank you...
