I watched the animation movie, Brave. It was about a princess, Merida having adventure to change her mom back to a Queen. She was a princess and her mom forced her to behave politely. But Merida don't want to follow her mother. She don't want to marry and she don't want to behave politely. She is adventurous and active. As she behaved what she want, the situation became worse. But I can understand her mind to be free.
I think that princess don't have to be that calm. It can be a stereotype. Personality differs from person to person which means that some princesses couldn't be that calm. I think her mother should respect her personality and would have different ways to teach her. Sometimes, her personality can help her deal with work. Also it her mother respect her personality, she will not be aggressive.
It is also really hard to suppress our own personality. Everyone wants to be free and be out of his or her boring life. Princess has her own feeling. Even if princess has to be calm, I can understand Merida's feelings.
It was impressive to see the Merida and her mother changed. Merida was different from other disney princesses!
Make sure you get the name of your subject right; the movie is called "Brave" not "The Brave".
답글삭제You have observed some good points from the movie. I really like your second idea about suppressing one's own personality. You could have made this stronger by using examples from the movie and from your own experience.
